What a Donation to Junior Achievement does for our Community
Donating to Junior Achievement of Northern Nevada empowers local youth by funding hands-on educational programs that build financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurial skills for K–12 students. Each year, around 13,000 students across the region benefit from engaging, real-world learning experiences and career exploration events led by community volunteers, business professionals, and educators. These programs foster confidence, teach essential life and job skills, and inspire students from all backgrounds to envision a successful future. Your support helps build a stronger local workforce, promotes economic equity, and creates lasting connections between students and their community. By investing in Junior Achievement, you are investing in the next generation of leaders, entrepreneurs, and informed citizens—ultimately strengthening the economic and social fabric of Northern Nevada.
Coming Soon Junior Achievement BizTown
Junior Achievement's BizTown is a hands-on educational program designed to provide young students with a simulated real-world experience of running a town and its businesses. In this interactive learning environment, students take on various roles such as business owners, employees, and consumers, allowing them to develop essential skills in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and teamwork. They operate their own businesses, manage finances, and make economic decisions, gaining practical knowledge about economics and the business world while having fun in a safe and educational setting. Junior Achievement's BizTown is a valuable program that helps prepare students for future success in the world of work and commerce.
